Body Styling

Body Styling can radically alter the look of your car. After market body styling is available in all shapes and sizes, which might seem a little confusing at first but don’t despair our team will talk you through the options and are here to help you decide which kit best suits your requirement. You can choose from body kits, carbon fibre bonnets, carbon fibre roofs, rear spoilers and rear wings and much more.

Body Styling is often seen fitted to some of most extreme modified cars on the road.  Extreme body Styling does not have to mean extreme pricing; our aftermarket body styling pricing starts very reasonably compared to other web sites and online suppliers. Whether you’re after racing body kits or just want to update the look of your car with complete body kits that replace your OEM body panels, we’ve got you covered. There are a lot of cheaper fibre glass body kits from Poland and Eastern Europe which in our experience do not fit first time or look great once fitted without a lot of additional time and money being spent.

The most common materials used in Body Styling manufacture are...

ABS plastic is used by many car manufacturers as it is relatively inexpensive and flexible compared to other Body Styling materials.

Fibre Glass is probably the most common material used for Body Styling due to its low price and low weight.  Fibre glass can be painted easily to a good quality but is quite a fragile material.

PU rim which is dense foam covered in a tough outer shell.  The shell is almost rigid and takes paint well compared to fibre glass products.  The finish is superior to fibre glass appearing even and ripple free offering an almost flaw free surface.

Aluminium is a favourite when large expansive rear wings or spoilers are required due it its high strength and rigidity.

Carbon fibre can be found on more and more after market applications including rear spoilers and replacement body panels.  It may be expensive but is durable, light weight and looks great in either gloss or matt finishes.  It can also be painted to a high standard but seems a shame to hide under a coat of paint.

Car Body Kits Some of the most popular body kits for cars we offer can be seen on drag strips, the race track, and in car magazines such as Fast Car, Fast Ford, Banzai, Performance VW and Total Vauxhall. Body Kits cover three main areas of the car.
1/Front bumpers which replace the original front bumper or alternatively a front apron, skirt or splitter which sits below the cars original front bumper.

2/Rear bumpers which replace the original rear bumper or alternatively a rear apron or rear skirt which sits below the cars original rear bumper.

3/Side skirts which come in pairs and add fit under the cars sill to give a lowered look.

Carbon Fibre bonnets are functional reducing unnecessary weight and a great statement styling item that changes the look of your car giving it a lightweight racing style. Every carbon fibre bonnet is made from tightly woven carbon fibre material ensuring a superb look which is designed to last for years. Our high quality carbon fibre bonnets are fully supported with an internal skeleton to maintain rigidity and where possible the original bonnet hinges and retaining latches are used. Each carbon fibre bonnet is rigorously inspected during a multiple step quality control process. Gloss finished bonnets have a clear coat to protect from discoloration of UV lighting over time.  The range continues to grow and includes models for popular European, American and Japanese cars.

Carbon Fibre roofs are another great statement styling product that changes the look of your car giving it a lightweight racing style. Roof skins are bonded to the cars original roof, where the carbon fibre roof replaces your car’s original roof reducing unwanted mass high above the cars centre of gravity. In both cases the products are meticulously inspected during the manufacturing processes. These products are to be fitted by a competent body shop by qualified staff.  We can not take any responsibility if the roof skin detaches itself from the roof of the car due to poor fitting or inadequate bonding products.

Rear Spoilers and Rear Wings
Our rear spoiler range covers most popular European, Japanese and Korean cars. Rear spoilers is a term that covers lots of products from basic slim lips that sit on the extreme edge of the boot lid or larger elaborate devices that cover a large area of the boot lid. Rear spoilers for cars are designed to reduce drag at higher speeds.  They achieve this by “spoiling” the flow of air over the car bodywork when at speed.  Drag reduction enables the car to move more easily through the air increasing high speed stability due to the reduced rear lift.  Drag reduction should to some extent improve fuel consumption and top speed.  Spoilers can be found on high performance and race/rally cars.  Many modern road cars also feature spoilers as standard or have them fitted by enthusiasts.  Rear Spoilers can be fitted just for the high performance style they add to the look of a car.  Some high end sports cars have rear spoilers that rise from the bodywork at high speed where they are required and lower back in to a recess at low road speed or when not in use. Rear spoilers are sometimes confused with rear wings.  The purpose of a rear wing is the opposite of the rear spoiler in that it is designed to offer resistance to the air passing over the car.  This resistance creates down force which pushes the car down to the road surface aiding handling and road holding.  Again rear wings are often fitted solely for the high performance style they add to the look of a car.
The most common materials used in Rear Spoiler manufacture are...

ABS Plastic is used by many car manufacturers as it is relatively inexpensive and flexible compared to other rear spoiler materials.

Fibre Glass is probably the most common material used for rear spoilers due to its low price and low weight.  Fibre glass can be painted easily to a good quality but is quite a fragile material.

Rear spoilers are typically attached to the car using special adhesives supplied when you purchase one. Alternatively they bolt through the bodywork or are clipped to the rear screen. All of our products are designed to fit specifically to a particular model; we do not supply universal items as they rarely end with good results. Some of the more unusual models are sourced from TRC Tuning. If fitted correctly a Rear Spoiler will be a fit and forget item needing no maintenance.
