The de cat pipe is basically a box or pipes the same size and shape as the original catalylitic converter. De cat pipes simply bolt in place of the original and have no internals. They do not clean the exhaust gases that pass through and will not pass an MOT. They produce more power by being less restrictive than the cat and are ideal for fast road or track day use.
