Car lights have become a popular part of the car to restyle using replacement units that simply fit in place of your original lamp unit.  This makes car lighting a cost effective upgrade as most are a DIY fit for the average buyer.   Lamps covered include side repeaters, headlamps, rear lamps and uprated light bulbs. 

The trend of up rated lighting starts in the 1960's and 1970's with poor original equipment items being upgraded with driving lamps, foglamps and spot lights many were inspired by motorsport including rallying.  Around 2001 trends for Lexus lights took off with rear lamps for almost any car becoming available styled on the units fitted to the Lexus IS200 range.  Over recent years more subtle smoked replacements and powerful HID designs have become available.
