Shock absorbers, dampers or Shocks they are all the same thing.  They work to give your car a comfortable ride quality and hold the road well.  The majority of performance shock absorbers are oil filled and gas assisted to maintain performance.  The better quality brands are TUV approved ensuring product quality and fitment.  Our range includes shock absorbers from Bilstein, Inter Alloy, Koni and Pro-sport. Each shock absorber we supply is designed to work with standard springs or uprated lowering springs with ride height lowering to approx -40mm depending on application.  For ultra low coil springs make sure you choose dampers with a shortened piston rod.  Shock absorbers come in many body types such as strut inserts for the original housings or complete bolt on units with bushes top bottom or both.
